February Evidence of Collaboration

After having such a busy couple of months which had absolutely nothing to do with my project, I finally got back on board. I didn't collaborate too much with people during January, however, the conversations I had were very motivating which was something I needed to get me back on track. 
I did catch up with Ceylan to touch base and regroup our thoughts/ideas. 
During February, it has been a mad chase to catch up on milestones, connect with people regarding my project, and even just accessing moral support to get me motivated again. We had a Project Group meeting online which I found really reassuring. Koron motivated me to get my collaboration evidence finalised and submitted so it is one less thing to worry about. She also motivated me to hurry up and complete my Critical Essay as this is something that can be completed way before its due date. These conversations with the group are very powerful. They may not have anything relating to my project, but they definitely motivate me to finish tasks. During February I also caught up with Ceylan to discuss what stage we were at and to set new milestones for 2020. I managed to get in touch with the CoL Across Schools Leader for Attendance and Engagement so I was able to tap into the data from my local area that pertains to my Critical Essay. This conversation was extremely insightful and encouraging, reminding me of the importance to have such a space online for all learners to go to - students and teachers.

October was another busy month with collaboration among peers. It wasn't that I was busy with the Project Group, but more so with Ceylan regarding out Project. I was also busy with discussion regarding the website with my husband, Cory, who is my IT guru and go-to person.  Working with Cory has been really good. He knows what I want and what is needed. He also knows that we have limited to no budget for this project and therefore can point me in the right direction of platforms and hosts that would be best suited to our needs.  My Project Group did meet this past month, and again it was great to hear where they are all up to regarding our assignments. Deliverable #2 - Website Design/Mockup 2D Sketches

For the past couple of weeks, I have been thinking about and drafting the layout of the website. This hasn't been an easy task and many changes have occurred. I initially started by jumping straight into the website and playing around with templates. But this lead to confusion and uncertainty of what I was doing. I spoke to an IT specialist who has done some websites in his time. He offered to assist with coming up with the mockup design. All I had to do was provide some 2D sketches and have a sit down meeting with him to explain what I was actually after. The brief I have for him is as follows: - Easy to update - Has member sections for Students and Teachers - Is mobile ready and friendly - Feedback and contact can be made within the site - Humber, simple layout - Has keyword searches - Contains a resource gallery - Easy to navigate - Not too busy looking As I work through this process, the ideas above will change or have more requirements added.
