Deliverable #2 - Website Design/Mockup 2D Sketches

For the past couple of weeks, I have been thinking about and drafting the layout of the website. This hasn't been an easy task and many changes have occurred. I initially started by jumping straight into the website and playing around with templates. But this lead to confusion and uncertainty of what I was doing. I spoke to an IT specialist who has done some websites in his time. He offered to assist with coming up with the mockup design. All I had to do was provide some 2D sketches and have a sit down meeting with him to explain what I was actually after. The brief I have for him is as follows: - Easy to update - Has member sections for Students and Teachers - Is mobile ready and friendly - Feedback and contact can be made within the site - Humber, simple layout - Has keyword searches - Contains a resource gallery - Easy to navigate - Not too busy looking As I work through this process, the ideas above will change or have more requirements added. Methodological / Research Design

The methodology of a Masters thesis is by far one of the most critical success (or failure) factors. You want to pick a research methodology that makes sense for your topic, your experience and skill level, and your resources. It’s also got to deliver a way to findings and conclusions that will produce results and garner you the master's thesis grade you are seeking (Essay,UK. 2018). I will be using both Quantitative and Qualitative methodology approaches as Creswell (2013) mentioned that depending on the research and what it is the researcher is wanting to find out, will depend on the methodology used. As I will be monitoring the online analytics and collecting numerical data based on the interest of the product, the quantitative approach is required. I will also be needing quantitative data for measuring the need of improvements in the content of the project. The data collection approaches I will use will depend on the group I am gathering data from. All data collection

Deliverable #2 - Website Design/Mock-up

This evening I was looking at different website templates and providers that have a simplistic template design. The features we are possibly after include: - Easy to update - Has a member section (teachers only, and students only) - Mobile-ready - Photo and media galleries - Possibly have feedback and contact forms - Free for the prototype stage - Upgrades to package are available as project proceeds and grows - Gives us the choice of preferred domain name - Easy to navigate On WordPress , I found the following 3 templates which fit the criteria above. Each comes with full details of what the template has to offer. Radcliffe 2 Radcliffe 2 is a simple theme with a clean typography, created with entrepreneurs and small business owners in mind. With business-friendly options like a call-to-action button and prominent contact information, Radcliffe 2 is your foundation for a professional website. This template is free.
